New missile firing in North Korea, July 30, 2019.
August 1, 2019.
The country led by Kim Jong-un launched the day before yesterday (July 30, 2019) two ballistic missiles, according to South Korea, an event that comes just days after the shooting of two other projectiles. North Korea is protesting against planned joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea. Despite the warming of her relationship with Washington, it seems that Pyongyang wants to remind that she is still able to bite. It has also presented last week a new submarine, capable of carrying two nuclear missiles.
A new submarine
On July 23, 2019, the North Korean media showed Kim Jong-un inspecting a new submarine ready to be deployed in the "East Sea" (the name given to the Sea of Japan). North Korea has many small submarines (less than 40 meters). But this one, a modified version of the class Romeo of the Soviet era, seems more massive.

KN-23 missile flight profiles suggest that they are capable of maneuvers increasing their ability to avoid missile defenses.
