Classification of close UFO encounters.
The UFO phenomenon brings together various types of experiments for which researchers have established the following classification :
• RR1 : UFO seen at close range, most often a luminous effect in the sky but sometimes also a UFO seeming to have a solid consistency (see Fig. 2-a).
• RR2 : RR1 with physical effects.
• RR3 : contact with the UFO entities.
Later appeared :
RR4: abduction aboard the UFO often including medical examinations on an operating table. More than a thousand such experiments have been studied in the United States since the "founding" case of Antonio Villas Boas in 1957, even though it may have appeared suspicious.
Then recently, without being admitted by all researchers :
• RR5 : contact caused by the subject himself.
• RR6 : repeated abduction since childhood with meeting in the UFO other subjects removed simultaneously.

Without appearing in this classification, other phenomena have been attached to UFOs. They will be treated below.
• The circles of cultures.
• Mutilations of cattle.
• The "men in black" and the appearances of black helicopters.
• The "bigfoots" that we presented in prologue and on which we will not return.
All these observations constitute the column headings of the synthesis grid of the UFO phenomenon presented at the end of this first part. On this grid, the line headers indicate the natural, human or paranormal sources from which the causes of the observations may originate.
