Interaction with Earth/Zeta brings us the most important study of hybrids.
One of the main justifiable reasons for the kidnappings, from their point of view, was that the Zeta feared their own extinction, which was imminent and that they must create a hybrid as directed by their "ninth dimension" "teachers". But the more benevolent Zeta also looked at the plight of the Human race, which was headed for destruction, and that they should therefore reproduce hybrids also in humans.

The purpose of the hybridization was not only to use it as a durable physical vessel, replacing their own deteriorating bodies, which could withstand vibrations and the Earth's environment; in particular, oxygen and carbon, both toxic to the Zeta’s body.
In the first hybridization experiments which were of limited success because the hybrids lived a short life. Many abducted humans claim to have been taken on board vessels and to spend time with hybrid children, in order to provide children with human energy interactions so as not to be too biased towards Zeta energy. These hybrid children are described as very peaceful and gentle in comparison to human babies.
After hundreds of attempts, more viable structures have been developed, although just now it was still the only reference to a hybrid being able to tolerate the human environment for a limited period.
The objective was to produce a hybrid, 51% and 49% Zeta/Human (explanation of percentage not given).
