More than a million people have signed up for a scheduled Facebook event to "force" passage into Area 51. A craze that the US Air Force seems to be taking very seriously.
130 km northwest of Las Vegas is the famous Zone 51. While the base is officially intended for testing military equipment out of sight, it has been the subject of conspiracy theorists' attention for several decades. According to them, the US military is indeed aware of the existence of extraterrestrials, and the evidence of this existence is hidden there. The fact remains that the site is one of the best kept in the United States (the youtuber Le Grand JD recently experienced this). But could the army repel more than a million people?
Zone 51 stormed?
As you probably know, hundreds of thousands of people have signed up for a scheduled event on Facebook in recent days. The goal: to force the passage, with the idea that the guards will "not be able to shoot everyone". So far, more than a million people have signed up and more than 800,000 say they are "interested". If you are in the area, the meeting takes place on September 20, at 3:00 am, in front of the Area 51 Alien Center restaurant in the Amargosa Valley. Then it's at your own risk.
Because if the event is indeed likely to smile, note that the US military takes the "threat" very seriously. The US Air Force has also reacted in a statement, saying "ready to protect" the base: "Zone 51 is a training field open to the US Air Force and we will discourage anyone who tries to come in the area where we train the US armed forces. "
The meeting place is planned in front of this restaurant, on September 20.

An unprecedented situation
Difficult to predict the outcome of such an event, made possible today thanks to social networks. It's a safe bet that a million people will not force Zone 51 on September 20, but several hundred or even thousands of people could actually try it. It remains to be seen how the US military will govern.
It is recalled that last January, a man who tried to break into it was shot dead by the soldiers on guard. It’s still hard to imagine the military using lethal force in the face of several hundred people. Finally, you never know. As noted above, the situation is completely new!
