April 20, 2018.
The end of the world was predicted (for the umpteenth time) by conspiracy theorists for the end of April 2018. However, the giant asteroid or "planet X" cited by these people is not real.
This planet X has a name: Nibiru. It should appear out of nowhere, sink on Earth and destroy everything. This prediction is not, however, new since it dates from 2003. However, nothing has happened for more than fifteen years, even when this same theory reappeared in 2012 when there was still talk of the end of the world.
Again, the planet Nibiru comes out of the box, and on the web predictions are going well. Thus on April 23, 2018, this one should cause the end of the world, according to its "discoverer", namely Zecharia Sitchin, a kind of charlatan historian as there are dozens. On the other hand, the idea that Nibiru is destructive is that of Nancy Lieder, head of ZetaTalk, an apocalyptic conspiracy sect. The interested party explains since 1995 that inhabitants of Zeta Reticuli (Zeta of the Reticule), a binary star located at a distance of 39 light years from the Earth, would have announced to him the arrival of the famous planet X.
If it is obvious that this story is not to be taken seriously, the Fox News channel broadcast live (see end of article) a long interview with David Meade, an American conspiratorial author and theorist of the end of the world. Your tone could not be more serious, as it could be in other down-to-earth news.
In addition, articles flourish here and there about the existence of the planet Nibiru. It is clear that some viewers - as well as some media like Fox News - do not take precautions at all. But let's remember one last time: the planet Nibiru does not exist !
