In a bizarre story out of Honduras, the strange death of a farmer in a small village has left residents wondering if he could have fallen victim to the infamous chupacabra. According to a local media report, the odd case occurred a couple of weeks ago in the village of El Naranjo. The unidentified man had reportedly finished his day's work and was resting at the base of a tree when disaster struck.
Witnesses say that the worker's proverbial dogs were barking and so he made what appears to have been the fatal mistake of taking his boots off during the break. Unfortunately for the man, a creature of some kind quickly emerged from a nearby hole and bit into the heel of his foot. Chillingly, when the farmer's body was discovered later that night, it had been drained of all of its blood.
As one might imagine, the vampiric nature of the man's death has given rise to rumors that he was, in fact, killed by the notorious blood-sucking chupacbara. These concerns were likely fueled by a pair of incidents over the last few years in which the terrifying cryptid was suspected of being behind a string of cattle attacks in various villages throughout the country.
Skeptics will likely say that the blood simply drained from the man's body during the hours before it was discovered. And, in this case, we sincerely hope they are correct, since the last thing anyone wants is for the chupacbara to develop a taste for humans. What do you think caused the man's mysterious death?
