Official: Ancient India was mastering advanced space flights thousands of years ago.
May 14, 2019.
A controversial paper presented at the prestigious scientific conference, the 102nd Indian Science Congress in Mumbai, states that human aviation and advanced space flight were made and mastered by ancient Indians, thousands of years before the Wright brothers in 1903 .
The document, presented by Captain Anand Bodas and Ameya Jadhav as part of a session entitled Ancient Sciences by Sanskrit, explains that, in Vedic texts dating back 7000 years ago, planes are described as being able to fly upside down and sideways. They could also shuttle between countries, continents and even planets.
Captain Anand J Bodas relies on the ancient Vedas to prove his aeronautical technology
"There is an official story and an unofficial story," said Captain Bodas, according to TheNational. "The official story only revealed that the Wright brothers flew the first plane in 1903," but the inventor of this aircraft was actually a sage named Bharadwaja, who lived about 7,000 years ago. "The antique planes had 40 small engines. "

The Vedas are a vast collection of Sanskrit texts from ancient India, and constitute the oldest layer of Sanskrit literature and the earliest writings of Hinduism. We know that some of the collections, such as Samhitas, date back to at least 1,700 BC, but many are thought to go much further.

The subject of "flying machines" has been a popular topic among ancient astronaut theorists who argue that some excerpts are evidence of extraterrestrial visits :
"The chariot Pushpaka (flower vimana) that looks like the sun and belongs to my brother was brought by the mighty Ravana; this aerial and excellent chariot going everywhere at will ... this chariot resembling a shining cloud in the sky ... and the king (Rama) has entered, and the excellent tank at the command of the Raghira is mounted in the upper atmosphere. "(Ramayana).
However, Captain Bodas said that ancient Indians had invented the technology and that it had been forgotten because of the passage of time, foreign leaders and stolen things in the country.
The Times of India reports that the paper presented at the conference, which included six Nobel laureates and award-winning academics and scientists, sparked skepticism, the claim of "pseudo-science" and the argument that this theory undermined empirical data. evidence by citing ancient religious texts.
The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) is a leading scientific organization in India with more than 30,000 scientists. ISCA's mandate is to publish journals, hold conferences, advance and promote the cause of science.

Dr. Ram Prasad Gandhiraman, a NASA scientist, launched an online petition before the conference to oppose certain conferences meant to advance a mix of science, mythology and politics of Hindu nationalists.
However, others, such as an Indian scientist from the United States who attended the conference, seemed to convince by examining ancient testimonies: "Knowledge is always growing, its flow never stops. So, if all this knowledge was available in ancient times, I need to know where they left off. Why did not he grow up? Why was there no advancement? When did it stop? I am not aware of the chronology of events, but I am quite willing to learn more and find out. "
